This nearly gut renovation was an opportunity to translate the sophistication and energy of New York into a serene coastal gem. Designed for a family who loves art, color, and thoughtful layering, the home became a sanctuary—a place of comfort, zen, and visual delight.

Every space was approached as a canvas, blending textures, materials, and tones in a way that feels effortless yet deliberate. Natural stone threads through the kitchen, anchoring the home while allowing color to emerge organically, almost like a quiet nod to the family’s love of art. Brass warms the spaces, introducing a tactile glow that contrasts beautifully with the cool, sculptural surfaces. Wood, stone, steel, and glass intertwine throughout the home, each material carefully chosen to balance sophistication with comfort, elegance with intimacy.

The design embraces playful experimentation—a layering of textures, subtle pops of color, and sculptural details that feel intentional yet inviting. The result is a home that moves with the family’s life, a space that’s both a calm retreat and a refined stage for entertaining, where every surface, every corner, and every detail contributes to a sense of artful living by the water.
